Director of Nursing

Janet Elizabeth Baxter was born in Washington D.C on November 26, 1965. Married to William G. Baxter who has worked for 31 years for the City of Virginia Beach.

Janet was a Medical Technologist who proudly served in the United States Navy and stationed at several Army installation in the US and abroad. She started her nursing career in 1994 while serving in the Military. Janet graduated as an LPN at New Orleans Regional Technical College, then went on to graduate as a RN in 2004, From Bishop State College in Mobile, Alabama. She worked as a nurse with geriatric patients for over 10 years where she learned multitude of skills; because of her love for nursing, and helping people Janet worked in the Post Anesthesia Care Unit for 15 years and many years in home health. During her time as a nurse she took on the adventure of opening, her vey own Beauty supply Store. In 2015, Janet started Baxter’s Health Training, where she taught American Heart Association Courses, and CPR. Also teaching healthcare professionals, in Medication Administration and Personal Care. Janet recently had the pleasure of serving and giving health care in many communities in The Republic of The Gambia with the International Medical Relief and Big Dreams Inc. Janet is now a proud board member of Big Dreams Inc. a non-profit organization serving the State of Georgia and the Republic of the Gambia West Africa.

Janet believes in God, the Father Almighty Creator of heaven and earth. She believes in Jesus Christ, the only Son, of our Lord conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary. Janet believes in the Holy Spirit. Her life’s goal is to continue to seek God and help others.
